Where to go in Naxos
It is very important to visit the incretible unspoiled santy beaches of the area. Kastraki beach, Glyfada, Alyko and Pyrgaki, all south of Summerlnad Holiday's resort and Sahara, Mikri Vigla, Orkos at the north.
Naxos Town (Chora), the capital of Naxos island, has a collection of very interesting historical, cultural and tourist places to visit, like the sea front with many coffeterias and restaurants, the museum with archaic, Cycladic treasures, Portara, the big door of Apollo's Temple and of course the Venetian castle with the alleys in the old town.

Naxos has many historicasl areas all around, from the premium (archaic) historic period, like the Kouros of Apollon vilage and the Kouros of Melanes, Chimaros tower etc, many Venetian and Byzantine monuments, churches, chapels and castles. Don't forget to visit the traditional olive press that has been converted to a museum.
You will love the traditional mountainous vilages like Chalki, Moni, Filoti, Apiranthos, Komiaki and Koronos and it is an excellent idea to visit all of them in a full day trip and end up at the other side (north) ofthe island to Apollon Vilage and then follow the road to Egares village to get back to Naxos Town.
You will also adore the eastern side of the island and the picturesque village of Moutsouna where you will enjoy fresh fish, special local dishes and the wonderful beaches of the eastern and south-eastern side of the island.
